This week I'm grateful for... our postie

It's been a thoughtful week this week. Me trying to be more 'present' basically ends up with me getting more wound up than ever before. Being present means I overthink things even more than usual.

I'm no good at yoga either.

Still, this week I'm grateful for...

323. The postie - He's a dude. I'm actually going to write a whole post about posties because they deserve one. The picture above is one I took in France, but our postie rides a similar moped. I think he must swap his little red postie bike for his little purple scooter when he's around the corner from the post office or something... renegade postman.

324. Happy school kids - they might drag their way into school, but they come out smiling every time.

325. Relatives - We had my uncle and aunt to dinner this week. My uncle is nine years younger than my father, but they look so alike that the kids called him Uncle Pops. It made me realise that even though we don't have a lot of contact with our extended family due to distance, blood runs rich.

What's got you grateful this week?

we're all a bit partial for our postie, who doesn't like receiving mail. well except for bills.

i adore the fact that our postie arrives by scooter - so australian and i love hearing the sound of them coming down my street (or even a block away when it hits my radar)

I used to want to be a postie. Have you read 7 Little Postmen? It's gorgeous. I love the way a little piece of paper can wing its way around the world.

Isn't it just so lovely to spend some time with a few generations together? I love my aunt and uncle too.
And my sister rides a scooter like this, she's not a postie, just energy conscious xx
